Canine Good Citizen Class and Test

What is the Canine Good Citizen program?  It's a
Certification offered by the AKC for all good dogs--
regardless of breed or mix.  It's a truly great
program and it should be the goal for all dog owners
(and their dogs).  This class will prepare you to take
the test, which will be administered one to two weeks
after the 7th class session.

You don't have to take the class to take the test,
and you don't have to take the test if you take the
class.
In the true Happy Hound tradition:  no
pressure!
But at the very least, expose yourself and
your dog to this program and have it as a longer-term
goal.

The CGC test includes 10 steps.  Most dogs will have
at least one or two areas that they may be a bit weak
on--if you're really concerned, affordable extra help
will be available.  As always, the Happy Hound tailors
it's programs to the needs of the individuals.

Location to be determined, and may vary depending on
the needs of the class (for instance we may be
greeting friendly strangers at a park one week--or
working on supervised separation and grooming at
Dizzy's Dog Wash another.)

Class minimum 2 dogs/2 people.  Class maximum 4
dogs/4 people.  Dogs must be one year old to take the
test, but otherwise any age dog may attend.
